What is the Happy Little Rescue?
We are a non-profit Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Grand Junction CO, committed to providing a positive and enriching environment for homeless and unwanted pets. Our mission is to ensure every animal receives the best possible care while awaiting their forever home. We believe that every animal that walks through our doors deserves individualized attention to address their specific needs. We do this by working with local veterinarians, experienced canine behaviorists, and incredible volunteers to truly create a Happy Little Rescue.

Rent a Rescue
Maybe you aren't ready to adopt yet. Maybe you're just visiting the Western Slope to do some hiking. Maybe you just want to give your own dog a playmate for the day.
If you said yes to any of the above, then the Rent a Rescue program is for you!
Come to the Happy Little Rescue any day of the week between 7am-6pm and let us know what adventures you have planned for the day. We will pair you with the perfect rescue for your activities and you can rent them for the day! Just like a library book but...BETTER!
